Entheogenesis: The Role of Sacred Psychoactives & Embodiment in Addiction Recovery — Addiction, in essence, is a symptom of our disembodiment—not only from ourselves, but also from the Earth. This class will be an overview of the role of sacred psychoactives in the process of addiction remediation and the embodiment of lasting recovery. We will explore a range of approaches to and applications of working with psychoactive plants and fungi in service of remediating patterns of addiction. Sacred psychoactives invite us into a dance with who and what we truly are. When we have the space to be fully who we are, all that we are not is invited to fall away and no longer dominate our sense of identity and relationship to life. We can be restored to our place within the Web of Life when we recognize our place within the Earth and reawaken to the participatory impulse that is foundational to our species. Addiction is a symptom of living adrift from this impulse and from our primal matrix. This class will open dialogue about how we can consciously align ourselves with the Earth’s medicines in order to weave our personal healing with the healing of the Earth for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Embodied Poetics: A Land-Based Invitation to the Poet Within — Embodied poetics is an invitation to the poet within to bear witness to and embody the poetry that unfolds when we tune our innermost hearts to the Song of the Earth. This class is a space for all who feel called to be with the land and to write poetry with the Earth as our muse and guide. We will journey deep into the Earth to discover the place where the Earth is dreaming us and awaken more fully to the already written poem that is alive in every cell of our body. It is a uniquely human opportunity to touch into this dreaming space of vision and beauty brought to poetic form through the written word. This class will invite us to reach into the soil of our hearts and emerge with the jewels that only we can find. We will enjoy an herbal tea to help facilitate our emergence into the Spirit of The Dream and to support our overall process of creative communion. We will weave our own poetic self-healing into the web of our relations and emerge with a foundation to continue exploring both our poetic voice and our connection with the Earth. We practice together, as a community, in devotion to All of Life. All are welcome to participate in this communal weaving.
