My Background In This Work

My formal herbalism studies began in 2016. I was certified as a Clinical Herbalist in 2018 after completing a two-year program of study at the Self-Heal School of Herbal Studies and Healing in San Diego, California.

While studying clinical herbalism, I became increasingly fascinated with the human body and found myself gravitating towards traditional wisdom in search of a more holistic embodiment framework. In 2016, I received a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification from Elka Yoga & Wellness. In 2017, I deepened my yoga studies and studies of Tantric philosophy by completing a 100-hour Anusara Immersion with Robin Christ. That same year, while working as an outdoor educator at a fully outdoor nature preschool called At Home In Nature, I completed a children’s yoga teacher training intensive through If I Was A Bird Yoga. In 2018, I completed an immersion with Eat Breathe Thrive, an organization focused on the intersection of yoga, body awareness, and eating disorder recovery.

In the fall of 2018, I began a course of study at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. In 2022, I received my BA in Contemplative Psychology. My studies included Somatic Psychology, Sacred Ecology, and the Psychology of Health and Healing. This work culminated in a thesis entitled Embodied Ecopsychology: Weaving the Body of Self with the Body of Earth.

While at Naropa, I served as co-facilitator for the Naropa Alliance for Psychedelic Studies. In the fall of 2020, I was the recipient of a Cosmic Sister Emerging Voices Award, an award that strengthens visibility for women who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field of plant medicine and psychedelics.

My passion for plant medicine, herbalism, and flower essences led me to continuing education through The Herbal Academy in 2022. I have had opportunities to learn from a variety of teachers, elders, workshops, conferences, books, and through intuitively guided self-study. My greatest teachers, ultimately, are the plants themselves—ever reminding me to listen, to attune, and to offer what I can through this work in service of Creation.
